While watching a scene in I Love Lucy that takes place in a drug store, you half-ignore the conversation Ricky and Fred are having and instead stare at the magazine rack in the background because it has Wonder Woman and Batman comics on it and you want to try to identify which issues they are.

So on Sept. 11 FX decided to have a mini-marathon of X-Men Origins: Wolverine because what better way to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the deadliest attack on American soil than with a film featuring an Australian guy playing a Canadian guy who likes to kill things, am I right?

I just saw the Green Hornet movie for the first time (yes, I am always this far behind when it comes to movie watching, why do you ask?) and it was AWESOME!  You absolutely cannot take it seriously, or you'll probably end up punching the screen, but this movie was tons of fun.  It wasn't perfect--it took me a bit longer to warm up to Seth Rogen ( Read more... )

Saw the first three episodes of Wolverine and the X-Men.  Yes, that cartoon that only lasted one season and was cancelled years ago.  I always seem to be behind on these things.  In any case, it looks pretty awesome.  Coupla nitpicks, just because I feel nitpicky--

So I can finally say that I've seen the X-Men movie trilogy.
